YOUR TRAVEL SCORE

How many countries have I been to?

Counting is only the beginning. Give every country you have been to a level — from lived-in to passed-through — and the answer becomes a map and a score worth sharing.

FAQ
How many countries have I been to?

Color every country you have set foot in and ExpMap keeps the running count for you. Each one also carries a level, from passing through to living there, so a home is never counted the same way as a layover.

Does a higher score mean a better traveler?

No. The score is a playful way to visualize your own experiences, not a ranking of people.

How is the Exp score calculated?

Every country contributes the points of its level, from 5 for Resided down to 1 for Passed. Your total Exp score adds them up, so it rises as you color more of the map.

Do layovers and transit count?

You decide. ExpMap has levels for exactly that: Landed for connections where you only touched down, and Passed for places you crossed without stopping.

Can I compare my travels with friends?

Yes. You can create a share image of your map and Exp score, so the next time someone asks how many countries you have visited, the map answers before you do.
